7th Annual Kentucky Hematology & Oncology Pharmacy Symposium

August 28, 2026

The Kentucky Hematology & Oncology Pharmacy Symposium (KHOPS) is hosted by Markey Cancer Network (MCN) and UK Pharmacy Services. This symposium is intended for oncology pharmacists, who are vital members of the cancer care team by helping guide therapy selection and toxicity management, participating in outcomes data analysis, and overseeing pharmacy operations in a rapidly evolving healthcare specialty area. Given the rapidly changing environment, pharmacists must stay informed of advances in practice in order to effectively participate in patient care activities. The purpose of this program is to educate pharmacists regarding the implications of recent innovations in the field of hematology/oncology, as well as provide an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues regarding contemporary challenges in oncology pharmacy.

Target Audience

Pharmacists, Physicians, and Nurses in Oncology Care

Upon completion of this conference, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze current policies, clinical practice, operations, research, innovations, emerging therapies, and updated guidelines in hematology and oncology.
  • Evaluate the pharmacist's role in medication management, prior authorization processes, and collaborative strategies to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
  • Examine contemporary opportunities and challenges in oncology pharmacy through interprofessional collaboration and discussion.
