Forward37th Annual Tri-State Craniofacial Conference
The 37th Annual Tri-State Craniofacial Conference is a multidisciplinary educational conference serving cleft and craniofacial professionals throughout Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. The conference provides participants with current education, emerging approaches, and best practices in the comprehensive care of patients with cleft and craniofacial anomalies.
Designed for providers, clinicians, and staff affiliated with cleft and craniofacial programs, the conference promotes interprofessional learning and collaboration across the continuum of care. Participants represent a broad range of specialties, including plastic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, dentistry, orthodontics, speech-language pathology, social work, pediatrics, psychiatry, care coordination, dietetics, otolaryngology (ENT), audiology, and other disciplines involved in craniofacial care. Through multidisciplinary education and shared expertise, the conference supports coordinated, evidence-informed, and patient-centered approaches to cleft and craniofacial care.
Target Audience
Cleft and craniofacial providers, clinicians, and staff from specialties including plastic surgery, neurosurgery, audiology, ENT, genetics, psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, oral surgery, orthodontics, speech pathology, pediatric medicine, dentistry, dietetics, and team administration.
Learning Objectives
After the completion of this conference, participants will be able to:
- Describe the contributions of craniofacial team disciplines across the continuum of patient care.
- Explain current surgical advances in the management of cleft and craniofacial anomalies.
- Differentiate clinical and surgical management approaches for craniofacial speech disturbances.
- Examine functional, aesthetic, and psychosocial considerations in cleft and craniofacial care across childhood and adolescence.
