Annually the pharmacy department at UofL Health completes a knowledge gap analysis to identify areas where pharmacists would like to receive additional education. As an academic medical center, pharmacists at UofL encounter several specialized patient populations that can present to the ER, medical units, intensive care units, and ambulatory clinics. Therefore, it is important for pharmacists to become comfortable managing care of these patients as they transition through the health system. Pharmacists at UofL Health are responsible for submitting topic requests for CE program so that relevant and needed continuing education programming is offered.
