This educational activity is designed to address the growing need for practical, evidence-based guidance on nutrition care for pregnant and postpartum women during the first 1,000 days. Healthcare professionals often seek greater confidence in counseling and supporting patients through common nutrition-related concerns across pregnancy and the postpartum period. While evidence and guidelines are available, challenges remain in translating this information into individualized, real-world care and consistently integrating nutrition support throughout the maternal care continuum. This program aims to help bridge those gaps by providing up-to-date, clinically relevant strategies and resources applicable to everyday practice.
Target Audience
The target audience for this course includes physicians, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and dietitians.
Learning Objectives
After completing this educational activity, learners will be able to:
- Describe the role of maternal nutrition during pregnancy and postpartum in shaping short- and long-term health outcomes for mother and child.
