The UK Markey Cancer Center Affiliate Network 2025 Cancer Care Conference is a learning and networking opportunity for healthcare professionals across the Commonwealth. UK faculty, regional and state cancer care leaders, and national speakers will present information to help improve the quality of cancer care at community hospitals.

Target Audience

Physicians, Pharmacists, Nurses, Social Workers, Public Health Professionals, Students, Administrators, and Program Coordinators. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Review quality performance standards, processes, and structure for ACoS Commission on Cancer accreditation to improve the quality of cancer care and treatment
  • Discuss best practices for oncology services and programs among peers
  • Describe recent events and trends in cancer care, research, and treatment
  • Recognize social and cultural barriers to cancer care and health equity
  • Identify opportunities to use cancer data to improve programs and services

This forum highlights quality standards and best practices in lung cancer care with a focus on early detection, evolving treatment approaches, and emerging research. Designed for primary care providers, nurses, and patient navigation teams.

  • Biopsy and treatment updates.

  • Strengthening collaboration between primary and specialty care.

MCCAN Annual Quality Workshop
A collaborative space for cancer program leaders to share best practices and innovative program ideas. Learn evidence-based strategies to meet Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards and discover how Kentucky cancer programs are improving care in their communities.
