Overview
Develop expectations of preceptors and residents for accountability and integrity in using AI as a support tool for residency training and pharmacy practice.
Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Recognize the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Pharmacy Practice per ASHP policy
2. Establish expectations for appropriate, ethical and professional use of AI in residency training.
3. Define common uses and limitations of generative AI in accredited residency programs
4. Review legal and privacy obligations of using AI
5. Identify how AI can be used as a tool to support PGY1 residents learning and competency.
6. Recognize AI uses that are prohibited or inappropriate
7 Develop expectations of preceptors and residents for accountability and integrity in using AI as a support tool for residency training
8. Discuss applications of appropriate AI utilization through practical scenarios
