At the completion of this lecture attendees should be able to:

  1. Differentiate laboratory and clinical (in vivo) models of coagulation (#Cascade #SorryNotSorry)
  2. Describe clinical thrombosis and hemostasis
  3. Explain the evolutionary and historical context for coagulation factor XI (FXI)
  4. Evaluate the rational for targeting FXI/FXIa as a promising target for anticoagulation
  5. Summarize the efficacy and safety of anti-FXI/FXIa [anti-FXI(a)] clinical trials
