Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the principles of deep brain stimulation (DBS), including indications, targets, and mechanism of action
- Explain how adaptive DBS uses neural biomarkers to adjust stimulation in real time and how this differs from conventional DBS
- Appraise the clinical evidence for adaptive DBS, including key controversies relevant to general neurologists
- Define post-traumatic headache
- Identify individuals at risk for persistent post-traumatic headache
- Select optimal methods for treating patients with post-traumatic headache
