Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the principles of deep brain stimulation (DBS), including indications, targets, and mechanism of action
2. Explain how adaptive DBS uses neural biomarkers to adjust stimulation in real time and how this differs from conventional DBS
3. Appraise the clinical evidence for adaptive DBS, including key controversies relevant to general neurologists
4. Define post-traumatic headache
5. Identify individuals at risk for persistent post-traumatic headache
6. Select optimal methods for treating patients with post-traumatic headache
