After this session, participants will be able to:

1. Discuss how sleep state, sleep-disordered breathing, and nocturnal seizures influence seizure control and SUDEP risk in patients with epilepsy.
2. Describe the bi-directional relationship between epilepsy and psychiatric comorbidity, including depression, anxiety, and suicidality.
3. Distinguish the effects of vagus nerve stimulation, responsive neurostimulation, and deep brain stimulation on sleep and mood in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.
