POCUS (Point-of-care ultrasound)
Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has become an essential tool in contemporary medical practice and education. It is a safe, efficient, and versatile imaging modality that provides real-time clinical information at the bedside. POCUS can be performed quickly, at any time of day, and supports timely decision-making by guiding appropriate interventions for individual patients. Incorporating POCUS education into clinical training equips busy healthcare providers with practical skills to deliver faster, safer, and more informed care—especially in critical, time-sensitive scenarios.
