Overview
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorder affecting women of child-bearing age. This syndrome is associated with menstrual irregularities, hyperandrogenism, and associated metabolic syndrome which puts patients at higher risk for future cardiovascular disease. With new guidelines and newer agents being investigated for management of these symptoms, pharmacists can play a unique role in identifying appropriate therapy, monitoring, and providing patient education for treatment options.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Review the pathophysiology and presentation of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
2. Summarize current guideline recommendations for management of PCOS
3. Discuss pregnancy complications and considerations in patients with PCOS
4. Design a patient-specific treatment plan
