Date & Time of Session - 2/24/26 - from 12:00 - 1:00PM

Overview
With the growing utilization of antipsychotics across psychiatric and non-psychiatric indications, the incidence of antipsychotic-induced movement disorders continues to rise. Despite their clinical significance, these disorders are frequently underrecognized or misdiagnosed, contributing to medication non-adherence, psychiatric relapse, functional impairment, and increased hospitalizations. This presentation will highlight the critical role pharmacists play in early identification of risk factors, proactive monitoring, timely treatment implementation, and optimization of therapy to improve patient outcomes.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Recognize antipsychotic-induced movement disorders (AIMD) and risk factors
2. Evaluate patients with AIMD using validated screening and monitoring tools
3. Apply management strategies for AIMD
