Overview
ACG Clinical Guideline: Hepatic Encephalopathy was published in 2026. This patient population has a high risk of readmission and is a common reason for admission at our institution. It is important for our clinical pharmacists to have a clear understanding of current recommendations to reduce morbidity and hospitalizations. 

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Review pathophysiology and classification of hepatic encephalopathy
2. Discuss key management guidelines from the American Journal of Gastroenterology
3. Explore patient access strategies for key medications
4. Apply guideline recommendations to pharmacist practice
