Overview
The use of wearable and self-monitoring devices has increased exponentially in recent years, especially for cardiovascular health. These include both prescribed and direct-to-consumer devices. As these devices continue to grow in popularity and become more accessible to the public, it is important for providers and pharmacists to be familiar with current evidence to support their utility in health care, as well as their limitations. 

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Discuss the functionality of wearable and self-monitoring devices and their contributions to cardiovascular health
2. Review limitations of these devices and barriers to implementation
3. Apply available evidence to potential utility in the ambulatory and inpatient settings
