Lesli McDonogh, BSN, RN, earned her Bachelor of Science in 1990 and began her career at Methodist Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, where she spent nearly a decade in the Cardiac Care Unit and quickly realized her love for cardiology and the care of the cardiac patient.

In 1999, Lesli joined the Norton Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab as a staff nurse and, in 2003, expanded her responsibilities by taking on the role of educator. In 2009, she became the Norton Hospital Cardiac Cath Lab Manager, as well as the facility’s Chest Pain Center Coordinator for ACC Accreditation Services.

In 2015, Lesli was appointed Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Labs at Norton Brownsboro and Norton Audubon Hospitals, allowing her to further pursue her passion for caring for cardiac patients.

Since June 2023, Lesli has taken on a new role within Norton Healthcare as the Quality Director for the Norton Heart and Vascular Institute. This role leads the only dedicated quality team focused on a single service line within the organization. Under her leadership, the team analyzes cardiovascular registry metrics, processes, initiatives, and projects to drive continuous improvement in cardiovascular care.

In this role, she is also responsible for all ACC Accreditations, such as Chest Pain Accreditation, Cath Lab Accreditation, TAVR Accreditation, and HeartCare National Distinction of Excellence Designation.
