Clyde Clarke, BSN, RN, earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. He began his career at UK King’s Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky, where he spent a decade in the Emergency Department before transitioning to the Cardiac Cath and Vascular Labs, where he worked for 12 years.
In 2011, Clarke shifted his focus to quality improvement and currently serves as the Manager of Heart and Vascular Quality Outcomes. In this role, he has been instrumental in spearheading several key initiatives, including establishing the first physician peer review program for the Cardiac Cath and EP Labs, developing a comprehensive appropriate use criteria process for scheduling cardiac and ICD implant cases, and launching the Cardiac Quality and Performance Improvement Program. These efforts played a vital role in UK King’s Daughters achieving Chest Pain Accreditation, Structural Heart Accreditation, EP Accreditation, and the HeartCARE Center of Excellence designation.
