Nora E. Renthal, MD, PhD, is a pediatric endocrinologist and physician-scientist at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. She serves as Medical Director of the Skeletal Health Center and Director of the DXA Center for Pediatric Bone Density at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Renthal’s clinical and research work focuses on endocrine and skeletal complications of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders, including growth, puberty, glucocorticoid-related bone fragility, vertebral fractures, and osteoporosis. She works closely with multidisciplinary Duchenne teams to improve endocrine and bone-health care across the lifespan and has contributed to national and international efforts to advance standards of care for people living with dystrophinopathies. Her broader research focuses on improving health, function, and quality of life for children and young adults with disabilities.
