Deborah Flomenhoft is a Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.  After completing her undergraduate degree in Social Studies at Harvard/Radcliffe she moved to Kentucky. She earned her MD at UK where she is a member of AOA. She completed a residence in internal medicine and pediatrics. After serving as Pediatric Chief she entered GI fellowship. She has served on faculty at UK since 2006 where the focus of her practice is the care of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She founded the IBD Transitional Clinic which helps adolescent patients continue healthcare into adulthood successfully. In addition to her clinical practice she leads UK's clinical trials programs for IBD.
