Overview
The AMS subcommittee develops new procedures and EMR modifications each month. Providers and frontline pharmacists are directly impacted by these changes. Because of the frequency of this and the varying time from approval to implementation, this session serves to update those pharmacists on recent or upcoming changes in practice.
Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Outline new and revised policies and procedures related to Antimicrobial Stewardship
2. Provide insight on how clinical application and costs are balanced when making subcommittee decisions
3. Recognize initiatives that are pending implementation to ensure staff aware of future changes
