Dr. Eckerle earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University before attending medical school at Indiana University. He completed neurology residency at the University of Virginia and stroke fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. He has been an inpatient and stroke neurologist at Norton Healthcare in Louisville since 2017, and has been medical director for stroke since 2024.
