Graham Warren, MD PhD FASCO
DR. GRAHAM WARREN, MD, PhD, FASCO, is a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist, Vice Chairman for Research in the Department of Radiation Medicine, and Director of the Markey Tobacco, Research, Universal Screening, and Treatment (Markey TRUST) Initiative at the University of Kentucky. He was a contributor for the 2014 and 2020 Surgeon General’s Reports on Tobacco providing the foundational work demonstrating that smoking by cancer patients and survivors causes adverse cancer treatment outcomes and that smoking cessation after a cancer diagnosis improves survival in cancer patients. He has developed foundational evidence and cessation programs at the institutional, regional, and national level including worked with the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, ASCO, AACR, NCI, Centers for Disease Control, Commission on Cancer, and several other cancer organizations to increase access to evidence-based tobacco cessation support for cancer patients.
