Emma Holliday, MD

Dr. Holliday is an Associate Professor in the Department of Gastrointestinal Radiation Oncology at the The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where she cares for patients with all types of GI malignancies. First and foremost, she is passionate about excellent and compassionate patient care. She has consistently been ranked top 1% in Patient Experience and received MD Anderson’s Michael M. Frumovitz Patient’s Choice Award for 2026.
Dr. Holliday’s primary academic interest is studying late toxicities and functional outcomes after pelvic radiation that impact survivors’ quality of life after cancer. She has published over 150 peer-reviewed publications as well as invited commentaries and textbook chapters. She is passionate about medical education and has received several awards for her dedication to medical student and resident education. She is an examiner for the American Board of Radiology and an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology as well as the American Radium Society. She also currently serves as the Associate Program Director the the Radiation Oncology Residency.
