Lori Caloia, MD, MPH

Dr. Lori Caloia is Deputy Commissioner for Clinical Affairs at the Kentucky Department for Public Health. Her passion for public health began when she served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight surgeon, where her duties included oversight of base-wide public health programs. She has broad experience in healthcare, including primary care, academic medicine, public health, and Medicaid and commercial health plans. She previously served as medical director at Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness. Dr. Caloia received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, a Leadership Certificate in Public Health from Eastern Virginia Medical School, and Master of Public Health Degree from Kent State University. She is board certified in family medicine.
