Chase Barnes, MPH

For the past four years, Chase Barnes has served as the Harm Reduction Branch Manager at the Kentucky Department for Public Health. In his role he is responsible for overall branch operations and direct supervision of six staff who provide technical assistance to harm reduction programs operating out of Local Health Departments and Community-Based Organizations throughout Kentucky. He is the principal investigator for federal and state harm reduction grants awarded to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. He also serves on the State ASAP Board and Recovery Ready Communities Advisory Council. Chase is a native of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and has received both his Bachelor's of Science in Public Health and Master of Public Health degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. Prior to his current role, Chase began his career in state government as a graduate student intern with the Kentucky Overdose Response Effort and has worked with the American Cancer Society and United States Peace Corps in Belize.
