ERIC COHEN, RN,MSN, TCRN

Eric Cohen began his nursing career 28 years ago. Initially a staff nurse in the Emergency Department, then as an assistant manager before transitioning to the Trauma Program Manager for a dual designated Adult Level 1, Pediatric Level 2 center, guiding that center through their initial American College of Surgeons verification.
He is currently the Trauma Program Director for Maimonides Medical Center located in Brooklyn NY. He is active with the American Trauma Society, serving on the Trauma Nurse Leadership Council and as faculty for the Trauma Program Manager course. Eric is also active with the Society of Trauma Nurses, serving on the Leadership Development Committee and as faculty for the TOPIC course. He places a strong emphasis on education and serves as NYS Faculty for Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) with the Emergency Nurses Association, an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Disaster Management Emergency Preparedness (DMEP) course coordinator for the American College of Surgeons as well as being a TCRN review instructor. Additionally, Eric is a Nurse Reviewer for the American College of Surgeons Verification Review Committee.
