Dr. Sadiq Ahmed is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the University of Kentucky. He serves as Director of the University of Kentucky Renal Apheresis Program and Medical Director of the DaVita Dialysis Unit in Lexington, Kentucky.

Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from Mymensingh Medical College in Bangladesh. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut, followed by a fellowship in Nephrology at Indiana University. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr. Ahmed's clinical interests include glomerular diseases, therapeutic plasma exchange, and extracorporeal therapies. He is actively involved in clinical research, medical education, and quality improvement initiatives, with a commitment to advancing patient care and training the next generation of nephrologists.
