Tobacco Treatment Update for Health Professionals
During patient visits, health care providers often do not provide tobacco treatment counseling, medications and resources for their patients who use tobacco. Many are not aware of the current clinical guidelines and evidenced based strategies to help their patients quit tobacco. This module will address these needs.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe Clinical Practice Guidelines and evidence-based recommendations for treating tobacco dependence.
- Discuss general implementation strategies for the assessment and treatment of tobacco dependence.
- Describe the benefits of treating tobacco dependence in vulnerable populations.
