Pediatric Perspectives Lecture: Pediatric Pharmacy
Pediatric Perspectives is a quarterly, live virtual educational series focused on key challenges impacting pediatric patients cared for in community and smaller hospital settings across Kentucky. This series is designed for physicians and nurses who infrequently manage pediatric patients and may have limited access to pediatric subspecialty resources.
This session of the Pediatric Perspectives series focuses on the critical nuances of neonatal pharmacy and fluid management. Participants will examine the strategies for calculating and maintaining fluid goals in the NICU while reviewing the specific indications for common intravenous fluids based on access type. The presentation also covers the pharmacologic management of prevalent neonatal disease states to optimize patient outcomes in a high-acuity setting.
Target Audience
Nurses and physicians at community hospitals around the state of Kentucky
