- Apply current evidence and ADA Standards of Care for glycemic management

Shana Cunningham, DNP, RN, MLDE, BC-ADM, CDCES, is a results-driven Clinical Nurse Specialist, at UK HealthCare, with a 21-year history of specializing in the complex care of the diabetic patient. She holds a board certification in Advanced Diabetes Management and is nationally certified as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Shana is also trained as a national Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Lifestyle Coach which assists patients through a year-long lifestyle change program which aims to prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes through healthy eating, increased physical activity, and stress management techniques.
