Early Hearing Detection & Intervention Summit
The 2nd Annual Early Hearing Detection & Intervention (EHDI) Summit will be held on Friday, June 13, 2026 in Louisville, KY. This event is hosted by Kentucky's Early Hearing Detection & Intervention (EHDI) program, which is housed within the Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) in the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH). The EHDI program is responsible for ensuring that all of Kentucky's children are screened for hearing loss within 1 month of age and receive timely follow-up diagnostic and intervention services if needed. Our goal for the EHDI Summit is to educate attendees on data, best practices, and other information related to childhood hearing loss and provide an opportunity for discussion and collaboration in effort to strengthen Kentucky's EHDI infrastructure. The target audience for this event is medical home providers such as pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and other primary care providers, hospital screening staff, midwives, audiologists, otolaryngologists, speech-language pathologists, early intervention providers, and families of deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH) children.
