Diversion

Back to Series Home

Diversion Enduring Module is a recording of the live Regularly Scheduled Series held on August 12, 2026. If you received credit for attending this session during the live meeting, please refrain from claiming credit for this module.

Drug diversion poses significant risks to patient safety, employee well-being, regulatory compliance, and organizational integrity. Healthcare leaders must understand the clinical, legal, and financial impacts of diversion, recognize warning signs of substance misuse, and respond appropriately to suspected incidents. This educational activity addresses knowledge gaps by reinforcing UK HealthCare's diversion prevention strategies, clarifying leadership's role in the investigative process, improving recognition of diversion red flags, and promoting a culture where staff feel empowered to speak up. Strengthening these competencies supports early intervention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
