Pain is often misunderstood and not adequately treated by providers. Additionally, studies have shown that there is a provider bias when treating non-white patients for chronic pain. As a result, additional training is needed for providers treating patients with chronic pain.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify different types of pain and shared pain pathways for individuals living with chronic pain
- Compare and contrast behavioral and pharmacology management strategies for chronic pain
- Explain key challenges and opportunities in the co-management of chronic pain and opioid or other substance use disorders
