Target Audience
Primary care providers, neurologists, geriatricians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals involved in dementia care.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Discuss current research related to comfort and procedural pain in pediatric patients.
- Explain the benefits of comfort positions and psychosocial techniques during medical interventions.
- Describe a variety of comfort techniques and positioning strategies that improve clinical outcomes, reduce pain, and enhance coping in pediatric patients.
- Identify 2–3 comfort techniques that can be incorporated into pediatric coping plans for procedural pain management.
