Suicidal Ideation in Elementary School

Teachers, coaches, and after school providers who work with elementary aged children are often unprepared to address suicidal ideation in these children. Although rare, some children in this age group do think about suicide and some go on to attempt or die by suicide. Those who work with children in these age group can save lives be prepared to address disclosures of suicidal ideation by these children.

Target Audience

The target audience for this course includes anyone who works with elementary school students.

  1. Know what to do when presented with suicidal ideation by a child.
