I am in my final year of General Surgery Training at the University of Kentucky. During my time at UK, I have had the privilege to train with excellent faculty across the spectrum of general surgery and nearly all associated subspecialties. I have participated in clinical and translational research under the direction of the surgical oncology and colorectal faculty. Specifically, I spent two years of dedicated time in the lab with funding by Dr. Mark Evers through the Surgeon Scientist T32 NIH training grant and under the direction of Dr. Joseph Kim, division chief of Surgical Oncology. I will move forward to a two-year Complex General Surgical Oncology (CGSO) training program at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, starting in August 2026.
