Eric S. Moghadamian, MD

Dr. Moghadamian, an ABOS Board Certified Orthopaedic Traumatologist July 2010, joined UK Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as a fellowship trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon in August 2008 bringing over sixteen years of experience to the program.  He specializes in periarticular factures, foot and ankle fractures and multiple trauma.  He has served as Medical Director for Trauma, Hand, Foot/Ankle, and Pediatrics Ambulatory Practice, Kentucky Clinic, 2011 – Present, Senior Medical Director, Ambulatory Operating Committee Orthopaedics, Interventional Pain, and PM&R 2018 – Present, and served as Division Head – Orthopaedic Trauma 2012 – 2024.  

Dr. Moghadamian serves as program faculty for the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, AO Trauma North American, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and AO (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen; Association of Internal Fixation) North America: Faculty.

He completed his Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship|AO International Fellow Carolinas Medical Center Department of Orthopaedics August 2007 – July 2008, Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics July 2003 – June 2007, and a General Surgical Internship at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics July 2002 – June 2003.  Dr. Moghadamian received his Doctor of Medicine|Valedictorian|AOA from University of Kentucky College of Medicine August 1998 – May 2002 and Bachelor of Arts, Biological Sciences with minor emphasis in Studio Arts from Transylvania University|Summa Cum Laude September 1993 – May 1997.
