Pediatric Perspectives - Bronchiolitis - Less is still More

October 21, 2025 to October 21, 2026

Webinar Zoom Link -  https://uky.zoom.us/j/88490747645

Start Time: 12:00 PM -- Enrollment closes at 12:30

This virtual lecture series, presented by Kentucky Children’s Hospital, will focus on the recognition and management of pediatric sepsis. Designed to address the needs of community hospitals across Kentucky, the program will provide up-to-date clinical guidance and innovative strategies for timely diagnosis and effective treatment. Through presentations from expert speakers, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to improve pediatric sepsis care, particularly in rural and underserved areas of the state.

Community hospital providers often encounter pediatric sepsis infrequently, resulting in delayed recognition, inconsistent use of screening tools, and variability in initiating timely treatment. Pediatric patients frequently present with nonspecific or subtle symptoms, which further complicates diagnosis. Many providers are not fully familiar with current pediatric sepsis guidelines or protocols, and limited opportunities for pediatric-focused training contribute to these gaps. Education is needed to improve provider confidence and competence in early identification, risk stratification, and standardized, evidence-based management of pediatric sepsis in order to improve patient outcomes.
