Justine Pickarski is a Licensed Genetic Counselor and serves as the Assistant Director for the Molecular Tumor Board at the University of Kentucky’s Markey Cancer Center. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and her Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. During her genetic counseling training she completed the Cancer Prevention Research Training Program (CPRTP) at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Justine spent the first 13 years of her career providing genetic counseling to cancer patients and their families in Kentucky and spent over 7 years of that time serving as the supervisor for the cancer genetic counseling team at Markey. Justine has been involved with Markey’s Molecular Tumor Board since its inception in 2016. In January 2024, she transitioned from her clinical genetic counselor role into a fulltime position with the Molecular Tumor Board with the goal to expand the scope of the MTB and ensure providers and patients across the state have access to precision medicine.
