Dr. Wright, an ABOS Board Certified Orthopaedic Traumatologist July 2010, joined UK Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as a fellowship trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon in August 2008 bringing over sixteen years of experience to the program. He specializes in pelvic and acetabular fractures, and multiple trauma. He has served as Program Director for the Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship since its inception August 2013 - Present. He also serves as Associate Program Director – Orthopaedic Surgery Residency May 2019 – Present, Clerkship Director – Undergraduate Orthopaedic Education, University of Kentucky July 2009 – Present, and Medical Director, Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic August 2008 – July 2011.

He completed his Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington August 2007 – July 2008, Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at University of Kentucky, UK Chandler Medical Center July 2003 – June 2007 and General Surgical Internship at University of Kentucy, UK Chandler Medical Center July 2002 – June 2003. Dr. Wright received his Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University College of Medicine August 1998 – May 2002 and Bachelor of Arts, Chemistry and Biology from Case Western Reserve University August 1994 - May 1998.
