KyPQC: Hot Topics: New AIM Bundle; Postpartum Depression/SUD Screening; Newborn Screening

This session includes segments with overlapping coverage of screening programs aimed at identifying mental health conditions and substance use disorder in patients presenting to labor and delivery departments and identifying health conditions in newborns.

Target Audience

The Annual Kentucky Perinatal Quality Collaborative Meeting targets perinatal medical care providers, social service providers, administrators, payers, quality managers, researchers, policymakers, and patients with lived experience. 

Learning Objectives

Upon competition of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Outline recommended perinatal screening programs to identify patients with needs that impact medical outcomes.
2. Demonstrate the validity of screening programs conducted in birthing hospitals.
3. Illustrate the importance of universal screening to improve the efficacy of screening and support population health.
