Sonu S. Abraham, MD, FACC, Assistant Professor of Medicine, is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist at the Gill Heart and Vascular Institute, University of Kentucky. She is also the Associate Program Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship at University of Kentucky. Dr. Abraham leads the infiltrative and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy clinic here at the Gill Heart Institute. She earned her medical degree at Government Medical College, Calicut, India. She then completed her residency and was a chief resident for Internal Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Abraham then did a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, Massachusetts followed by a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois.
