Dr. Kathleen Winter is the Director of the Division of Epidemiology and Health Planning at the Kentucky Department for Public Health where she also serves as the Kentucky State Epidemiologist.  She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health.  Dr. Winter received her Master’s of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from The Ohio State University and her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. She has 20 years of experience working in immunizations and communicable disease control in Ohio, California, and Kentucky.
