Dr. Callie Rzasa joined the University of Kentucky as faculty in 2016.    She attended college at the University of Notre Dame, followed by medical school at the University of Michigan where she found her academic calling in Pediatric Cardiology.  She then completed her Pediatrics Residency at the University of California, San Diego.  Finally, she completed her Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard University.  Throughout her training, she received awards for her enthusiasm for service, education, and research.  Her career focus has been in operational leadership and ambulatory Pediatric Cardiology. She has served as the Department of Pediatrics Ambulatory Medical Director, the  UKHC Assistant Ambulatory Chief Medical Officer for Pediatrics.    She serves as the Medical Director for the Congenital Heart Clinic, as well as for Kentucky Children’s Hospital Affiliate Network as well as the American Heart Association Board President for Central Kentucky.
