Dr. Sally V. Mathias completed her neurology residency at the University of Kentucky (UK) followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology/ epilepsy track at Vanderbilt University. She is an Associate Professor at UK and Associate Program Director for Neurology Residency. She has a dual appointment at the Lexington VA Healthcare System where she serves as the Chief of Neurology Service. She is a member of several professional neurological and epilepsy organizations and is actively involved in various committees within University of Kentucky, VA and on a national level. Her clinical interests are women’s epilepsy, epilepsy surgery and epilepsy in the elderly. She enjoys being a physician educator and has received numerous teaching and mentorship awards.
