Ashley DeJarnette, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner with the UK Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Forensic Medicine and medical director for Family and Children's Place Children's Advocacy Center in Louisville, KY.  She has worked in the field of child maltreatment for more than a decade. She is currently a PhD student at UL whose primary research interests include future workforce challenges in child abuse pediatrics and environmental exposures to illicit substances among pediatric patients presenting for maltreatment evaluations.
