Jenna Cassady, Jenna Cassady, JD, Esq.

Jenna Cassady is a dual-licensed attorney in Kentucky and Florida and a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. She serves as Chief Policy Officer at the Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs (KASAP), where she leads statewide policy, legislative, and systems-reform efforts to strengthen Kentucky’s response to sexual violence.
Prior to her policy work, Jenna specialized in the prosecution of child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence cases, serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fayette County, Kentucky, and as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Her frontline prosecutorial experience – working directly with survivors, law enforcement, and multidisciplinary teams – deeply informs her policy leadership and focus on survivor-centered, trauma-informed systems.
Jenna is the architect of House Bill 101, known as Jenna’s Law, which amended Kentucky’s Rape and Sodomy statutes in 2018 to expand survivor protections and modernize the state’s approach to sexual violence. She continues to bridge practice and policy through legislative advocacy, training, and statewide coordination to improve prevention, intervention, and accountability across Kentucky.
