Jennifer is the Child and Family Life Director for Kentucky Children’s Hospital. She graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Family and Child Development with an emphasis in Child Life.  In her 30 years as a child life specialist, Jennifer has served in both clinical, administrative, and academic positions supporting growth and development of child life specialists. An active member of the Association of Child Life Professionals, Jennifer has served as chair and committee member for several student focused task forces and professional committees. Jennifer has provided several presentations at regional child life and nursing conferences as well as at the annual Association of Child Life Professionals conference on child life related topics and student program development. 

Jennifer began working at Kentucky Children’s Hospital in 2016 and became the Child and Family Life Director in 2017. Currently, she manages a growing department of 19 child life specialists, patient activity assistants, recreation therapists, and other psychosocial team members who provide services to entire Children’s Hospital as well as throughout UK Healthcare.
