Joel Howard is an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Infectious Diseases who joined UK faculty in 2020. He completed medical school at the University of Mississippi, followed by a Pediatric Residency at Emory University, and a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Utah. He is the Medical Director for KCH Antimicrobial Stewardship and is currently training to become an Epic Physician Builder for UK Healthcare. His research interests are in antimicrobial stewardship and electronic clinical decision support.
