Amanda Werner, BSN, RN, MEDSURG-BC, SCRN, ASC-BC, is the Stroke Program Manager for UCHealth's Northern Colorado Region, where she leads stroke program strategy, quality initiatives, and clinical operations across a referral network serving northern Colorado and neighboring communities throughout southern Wyoming, western Nebraska, and western Kansas. She oversees stroke program operations across four hospitals and two freestanding EDs and works collaboratively with clinical, operational, and community partners to advance evidence-based stroke care across the region. Her work spans stroke certification, quality improvement, performance analytics, regulatory readiness, interdisciplinary education, and system-wide program development.

Throughout her career, Amanda has led numerous initiatives aimed at improving stroke recognition, treatment efficiency, and patient outcomes. She has successfully guided Primary Stroke Center and Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center certification efforts, implemented regional performance improvement strategies, and partnered with emergency departments, EMS agencies, neurologists, neurospecialists, and nursing teams to advance evidence-based care.

Amanda is a frequent presenter at regional and national conferences and serves as faculty for the AANN Stroke Coordinator Boot Camp. Her areas of interest include stroke systems of care, hemorrhagic stroke identification, quality improvement methodology, process standardization, and healthcare education. She is passionate about building high-performing teams, translating data into meaningful action, and creating sustainable improvements that enhance the care experience for patients and clinicians alike.
