Deanna Reinoso, MD

Deanna Reinoso MD is a board-certified pediatrician and lifestyle medicine physician. She currently serves as Medical Director of Social Determinants of Health at Eskenazi Health. Dr. Reinoso attended Indiana University School of Medicine and graduated from Pediatric Residency training in 2002 Dr. Reinoso is Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine and currently teaches Foundations of Clinical Medicine to first year medical students.
As Medical Director of Social Determinants of Health, Dr. Reinoso works to strengthen and systematize health partnerships and accelerate efforts to improve community health and address disparities in health outcomes. She strives to integrate social needs care into the delivery of health care by addressing social determinants of health such as food insecurity, housing insecurity, safety, financial security, education and access to healthcare. Dr. Reinoso worked with community partners to establish Crooked Creek Food Pantry co-located at Eskenazi Health Center Pecar in 2015. In 2022 she worked with the Eskenazi Health SDOH team to establish the Fresh for You Market as a grocery store/food pantry hybrid model to provide healthy food options for individuals living in food deserts or experiencing food insecurity. The Crooked Creek Food Pantry, Eskenazi Health Fresh For You Market and urban gardening efforts help provide nutritious food options to those in the community who need assistance. In 2024 Dr. Reinoso worked in partnership with Gleaners Food Bank to integrate a food pick-up program within three health centers. In 2026, she helped launch an innovative partnership between the health system and a small neighborhood grocery store to establish a food voucher redemption program for food insecure patients. Additionally, Dr. Reinoso implemented a “Food is Medicine” multidisciplinary team group visit model at Eskenazi Health Center Pecar for individuals with chronic health risk factors and nutrition insecurity. She believes that approaching individuals in a comprehensive, compassionate and holistic manner to address all medical and social needs is essential to the health and well-being of everyone in our community.
